Prabowo: DSI Handles Rp188 Trillion in Forex in 6 Weeks
The government says the gap between export prices and global benchmarks for commodities has begun narrowing under the one-stop system.
President Prabowo Subianto said PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) has managed more than 10.5 billion U.S. dollars, or around Rp188 trillion, in foreign exchange in one month and two weeks since it began full operations on 1 July 2026. In the Full Cabinet Meeting at Istana Negara, Jakarta, on Monday (20/7), Prabowo said DSI was formed to oversee strategic commodity exports through a one-stop system and curb under-invoicing and transfer pricing. He cited that before DSI started operating, the gap between the selling prices of Indonesian commodities and international market prices reached at least 30 percent and approached 40-45 percent. The commodities he mentioned included nickel, rubber, palm oil, coal and gold. Prabowo also threatened to revoke the licenses of business operators who continue to violate the law.
