Prabowo and Rosan discuss consolidating 300 BUMN entities

President Prabowo Subianto met Investment and Downstream Minister as well as Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani at the president's private residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Sunday to discuss state asset management and accelerating BUMN transformation. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the talks also covered strengthening new sectors seen as potential drivers of national economic growth. Through Danantara Indonesia, the government sees room to spur growth in tourism through large-scale national and international events, including sports, music concerts and the creative industry. The government also reported that the BUMN consolidation process is continuing: 258 of about 1,077 entities have been consolidated, and about 300 more are targeted in the next phase to improve efficiency and governance.
