Polri inspects Merak-Bakauheni crossing ahead of Nataru 2026-2027
Jasa Raharja will deploy 2,000 personnel nationwide and 10 integrated posts to support the year-end holiday flow.
Polri, together with the Ministry of Transportation, Jasa Raharja, and several stakeholders, inspected readiness at the Merak-Bakauheni crossing ahead of the Christmas 2026 and New Year 2027 holiday period. The Thursday survey covered Bakauheni Port, BBJ Muara Pilu, Wika Beton, BBJ Bojonegara, and Pelindo Ciwandan. Polri Astamaops Roycke Harry Langie said the facilities inspected generally met standards, although technical arrangements for entry and exit lanes still need to be prepared. Polri Kakorlantas Aries Syahbudin said Bakauheni's infrastructure has improved compared with evaluations over the past two years. Jasa Raharja described the route as a strategic Java-Sumatra link and prepared 2,000 personnel, five rapid response teams, and online monitoring through IRSMS Korlantas Polri and partner hospitals.
