Polri Arrests 9 Suspects in Killing of 3 Katingan Police
Three other suspects were placed on the wanted list after arrests at six locations in Kalteng and Kaltim from July 3-8.
Polri has arrested nine narcotics suspects who are suspected of being involved in the killing of three Satresnarkoba Polres Katingan members during a raid in Desa Tumbang Kalemei, Kalimantan Tengah. The arrests were made by a joint team at six locations in Kalimantan Tengah and Kalimantan Timur in an operation from 3-8 July. Dirtipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso said the suspects had different roles, from carrying homemade firearms, spears, machetes and mandau, to shooting and slashing officers, and provoking residents. One suspect, BO, was identified as a drug dealer. Three other suspects remain at large and have been placed on the wanted list. Some of the suspects are also alleged to have dumped the victims' bodies into a river after the attack on the Polres Katingan personnel.
