Police detain man for damaging shop in Cilincing after brandishing airsoft gun
Investigators seized one airsoft gun, questioned seven witnesses and reviewed CCTV, while estimating losses at Rp15 million.
Polres Metro Jakarta Utara detained ADG, 30, after naming him a suspect in the vandalism of the Yummy Coin shop house on Jalan Terusan Kelapa Hybrida, Sukapura, Cilincing, Jakarta Utara. According to Polda Metro Jaya, ADG allegedly forced his way into the location on Wednesday night, June 17, then damaged the neon box, gypsum walls, chairs and sanitation facilities. He also displayed an airsoft gun tucked at his waist to security personnel. The following night, ADG returned to the site and damaged the exterior of the victim's parked car. Police said the evidence includes CCTV footage, statements from seven witnesses and one seized airsoft gun. Material losses were estimated at about Rp15 juta. Although ADG had sought restorative justice, the criminal case continued under Article 521 of the Criminal Code.
