Police arrest man suspected in 5 Tangerang stabbings
Investigators seized a black Honda Beat and the suspect’s clothes, while still probing the motive and possible other victims.
Police arrested a man identified as KM who is suspected of randomly attacking residents with a sharp weapon at five locations in Kota and Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten. KM was arrested on Saturday, July 11, at around 11:30 WIB in the Bencongan area of Kelapa Dua. Police suspect he approached victims on a motorcycle, wounded them, and fled. Two cases already uncovered happened on Jalan Sawo, Cibodasari, on May 11, when a victim identified as S suffered a laceration on the back, and on Jalan Bawang on July 9, when MZS was injured in the waist and required two stitches. Police are also investigating similar incidents on Jalan Rusa, Jalan Tampak Siring, and Jalan Singkarak. Items seized as evidence included a black Honda Beat, a gray hoodie, and a brown T-shirt. Investigators are still questioning KM and tracing whether there are other victims.
