PN Jaksel to Rule Today on Roy Suryo’s Second Pretrial Bid

The Jakarta Selatan District Court has scheduled the ruling on Roy Suryo’s second pretrial petition for Monday at 1:00 p.m. WIB. The petition concerns his designation as a suspect in alleged defamation and libel in the case over the authenticity of the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th president Joko Widodo. The lawsuit was registered under number 108/Pid.Pra/2026/PN JKT.SEL and is being heard by sole judge I Ketut Darpawan. In his petition, Roy asked the judge to declare the suspect designation under Article 32 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law invalid, and to cancel several investigation warrants issued by Polda Metro Jaya. Roy also asked the court to rule that the investigation was unlawful, saying it contradicted the Constitutional Court ruling and Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
