Phil Foden signs 4-year Man City deal, staying through 2030
What's new: The extension comes after Foden lost his starting spot and missed England's World Cup squad this summer.
Phil Foden signed a new four-year contract with Manchester City that will keep him at his boyhood club through 2030, with an option for an extra year. The 26-year-old academy product has made 369 senior appearances and remains one of the most decorated players in City history, with six Premier League titles and a Champions League among his major honors. The move gives new manager Enzo Maresca a vote of confidence in a player whose form dipped after City’s 2023-24 title-winning campaign. Foden was left out of England’s World Cup squad this summer after an inconsistent season and said he is eager to work again with Maresca, who was part of City’s treble-winning staff.
