PERURI opens free chip design sandbox for semiconductor talent
Students, researchers, startups and industry can now design and prototype chips in a browser without upfront hardware costs.
PERURI has launched the Merah Putih Chip Design Sandbox, a digital test environment aimed at developing semiconductor design talent and capabilities in Indonesia. The platform is available free through a browser to students, researchers, industry players and startups to learn, experiment and build chip designs and prototypes. According to PERURI, the facility was created to reduce research barriers posed by expensive equipment and limited access to laboratory facilities. PERURI President Director Teguh Arief Indratmoko said the move is also intended to strengthen document and strategic data security, save foreign exchange and bolster Indonesia's position in the global semiconductor ecosystem.
