Pertamina beats first-half 2026 emissions-reduction target

PT Pertamina (Persero) surpassed its emissions-reduction target under the 2026 RKAP in the first half of the year. From January-June 2026, Pertamina Group's decarbonization program reached 118 percent of the annual target. Low-carbon business performance also hit 101 percent, while ESG governance reached 102 percent of target. Vice President Corporate Communication Pertamina Muhammad Baron said the results were supported by bioethanol, biofuel and energy-efficiency programs. Pertamina said the achievement is part of the company's commitment to Indonesia's 2060 net zero emission target. On 24 June 2026, Telekom Berhad Malaysia also visited Pertamina to review sustainability programs, including the energy transition approach and Desa Energi Berdikari.
