Persija remain atop the standings with 12 points, but now lead Persita by just one point.
Persija Jakarta suffered their first defeat of the season after falling 2-3 to Persita Tangerang in the fifth round of the league at Banten International Stadium on Saturday (17/10). The result ended Persija's perfect run after four straight wins. Persija twice pulled level through Fabio Calonego in the 18th minute and an Alexander Jeremejeff penalty in the 74th minute, after Persita had gone ahead through Luquinhas in the fifth minute and Rayco Rodriguez in the 61st minute. The winner for Persita was scored by Aleksa Andrejic in stoppage time, in the 90+5th minute.
