Five finalists were chosen from 124 entries, and the government is offering 300 prizes, including invitations to the Aug. 17 ceremony.
The government opened a public poll to select the logo and visual identity for the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence from June 24 to 28, 2026. Voting is being held at logohutri.istanapresiden.go.id, with five finalist designs chosen from 124 contest entries from across Indonesia. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya said this is the first time the public has been directly involved in selecting the official independence anniversary logo. Deputy State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro said the government has also set the theme for the 81st RI anniversary: “Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur”. The five finalists come from Surakarta, Padang, Denpasar, Malang, and Batam. Organizers have prepared 100 ceremony invitations, 100 souvenirs, and 100 education grants for selected participants.
