Government targets 2.57 million to 3.49 million new jobs in 2027

The government is targeting the creation of 2.57 million to 3.49 million new jobs in 2027 under the 2027 Rencana Kerja Pemerintah (RKP). The goal is aimed at lowering the open unemployment rate to 4.30% to 4.87%, while also strengthening the quality of national economic growth. The target comes amid a busy run of job fairs, including Naker Fest 2026 in Panongan, Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday, as job seekers lined up for vacancies. In South Jakarta, a job fair also offered 3,229 openings from 37 companies, including opportunities for people with disabilities.
