Pelni ships 282.5 tons of aid, Baznas serves 1,900 meals in NTT
The second aid shipment left Tanjung Priok for Maumere, while Baznas opened a health post in Manggarai for displaced residents.
PT Pelni transported 282.5 tons of humanitarian aid in a second phase for victims of the earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur, while Baznas RI distributed 1,900 servings of ready-to-eat food to refugees in Kabupaten Manggarai Timur. The Pelni shipment departed from Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, for Pelabuhan Lorens Say, Maumere, through a free transport program supported by the Kementerian Perhubungan. The cargo was split between KM Tidar, which carried 67.5 tons on 29 Agustus, and KM Dobonsolo, which is scheduled to carry 215 tons on 31 Agustus. On land, Baznas food was distributed to Desa Nanga Mbaling and Desa Pota in Kecamatan Sambi Rampas. Baznas also operated a communal kitchen and water kitchen, and opened the Rumah Sehat Baznas Health Service Post at Pondok Pesantren Pancasila in Kecamatan Reok, Kabupaten Manggarai.
