Contract worker burns Diskominfo Kukar meeting room, 1 room heavily damaged

Police named MFA, 24, a suspect in the arson of a meeting room on the 3rd floor of the Kutai Kartanegara Regency Communication and Informatics Office in East Kalimantan. The fire broke out at the office building on Jalan Pahlawan, Kelurahan Timbau, Kecamatan Tenggarong, on Tuesday at about 07.20 Wita. In the initial investigation, MFA, a contract worker, arrived carrying Pertalite, poured it behind the meeting room door, then lit it with a lighter. He was later seen running down the stairs carrying a fuel container. The fire was extinguished at about 08.30 Wita; no one was injured, but one meeting room was heavily damaged. Police seized three CCTV cameras, burned debris, a 19-liter gallon container, and a 1.5-liter bottle still holding about 1 liter of Pertalite. The suspected motive was resentment after the suspect was often secretly photographed and mocked at work.
