Pegadaian wins bullion bank award, manages 153.72 tons of gold
Pegadaian’s bullion bank business began after an OJK license in late 2024 and was launched on Feb. 26, 2025.
PT Pegadaian (Persero) won the Top Company in Bullion Bank Industry award at the Indonesia Top Companies Recognition 2026 at The Westin Jakarta on Monday, June 29, 2026. The award was received by Pegadaian's IT & Digital Director, Yos Iman Jaya Dappu. The recognition came after Pegadaian obtained a bullion business license from Otoritas Jasa Keuangan in late December 2024 and launched its Bank Emas service on Feb. 26, 2025, which was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto at the time. Pegadaian's bullion services include gold deposits, gold working-capital loans, corporate gold safekeeping services, and gold trading. As of May 2026, Pegadaian's total gold ecosystem under management, including its pawnshop business line, reached 153.72 tons.
