North Sumatra allocates Rp31 billion to repair damaged Deli Serdang roads

The provincial government also shut illegal C excavation sites blamed by residents for worsening damage from overloaded trucks.

The North Sumatra provincial government has set aside more than Rp31 billion to repair damaged roads in Deli Serdang regency, including Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan in Galang district. North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution inspected the site on Thursday and said work will begin to improve safety, residents' mobility, farm-product distribution and trade. More than Rp17 billion has been allocated for the Lubuk Pakam–Tanah Abang section, which spans three kilometers and is being handled by PT Rapi Arjasa. More than Rp14 billion is also reserved for the 2.05-kilometer Tanah Abang–Galang–Serdang Bedagai border section, with CV Cipta Karya Nusantara as the contractor. Bobby also ordered the closure of illegal C excavation sites that residents say have worsened road damage from large-tonnage trucks.
