New Trump press secretary ended first White House briefing in 15 minutes
What's new: Katie Zacharia took questions from only three outlets and disclosed that Trump had fired his ambassador to Greece.
Katie Zacharia made her debut as White House press secretary on Oct. 13 with a tightly controlled briefing that lasted about 15 minutes and included questions from only three reporters. The new spokeswoman opened with an extended list of what she described as achievements by President Donald Trump, then called on Breitbart, Fox News and the Daily Mail before ending the session as other reporters shouted questions. Zacharia, 41, previously worked as a commentator for Fox News and Newsmax and advised Trump Media and Technology, the company behind Truth Social. She also revealed that Trump had dismissed his ambassador to Greece amid a bribery scandal.
