Musk targets $1 trillion in SpaceX revenue by 2030
What's new: The forecast far exceeds Wall Street estimates of roughly $330 billion to $470 billion for 2030.
Elon Musk set a towering growth target for SpaceX, writing on X that the rocket company could generate $1 trillion in revenue by 2030 and even more in 2031. The post came two days after SpaceX went public at a valuation above $2 trillion, making it the sixth-largest US company and cementing Musk as the world’s first trillionaire. The target is far above analyst forecasts cited by The Wall Street Journal earlier this month: Goldman Sachs projected more than $470 billion in 2030 revenue, while Morgan Stanley estimated nearly $330 billion. SpaceX reported 2025 revenue of $18.67 billion, up from $14.02 billion a year earlier, but it swung to a net loss of $4.94 billion from a profit of $791 million.
