Monas concert prompts 13 Gambir trains to board at Jatinegara
Gambir ticket holders can board at Jatinegara on Saturday to avoid congestion around Monas starting at 17.00 WIB.
PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is adding a stop for 13 long-distance trains departing from Gambir at Jatinegara Station on Saturday, following the potential for traffic and passenger congestion from Konser Akbar Monas 2026. The Special Unscheduled Stop scheme gives passengers who already hold tickets from Gambir the option to board at Jatinegara. KAI emphasized that all trains will still depart from Gambir according to the schedule on the ticket, while Jatinegara will only handle boarding before the train continues its journey. The concert in the Monumen Nasional area is scheduled to start at 17.00 WIB and run until finished. KAI urged passengers using this option to arrive early for ticket checks, identity verification, and boarding.
