TNI service vehicle hits pole at Slipi toll exit, 2 injured
Police suspect the driver had a micro sleep; the Maung vehicle was towed and the case was handed to Unit Laka Ditlantas.
A TNI service vehicle, a Maung type, crashed in a single-vehicle accident on the inner city toll road off-ramp at KM 9,800 westbound, or the Slipi toll exit, in front of the DPR/MPR RI complex in Central Jakarta on Thursday at about 08.30 WIB. Sat PJR Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya suspected the driver, identified by the initials TBS, fell asleep or had a micro sleep, causing the vehicle to lose control and hit a separator and a sign pole. Two passengers were injured, a man in both legs and a woman in the face, and were taken to RS AD Ridwan Meuraksa in East Jakarta. The driver was reported safe. The tactical vehicle's front end was heavily damaged. Police evacuated the vehicle, managed traffic around the site, and handed the case to Unit Laka Subdit Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya.
