In Lesterville, the Army National Guard used Black Hawk helicopters to evacuate more than 200 children and staff from Camp Taum Sauk after roads washed out around the site. The Missouri State Highway Patrol also rescued people along the Black River, including campers who climbed onto a building before it collapsed and three people stranded in trees.
