A Mozambique-flagged LPG tanker carrying 28 Indian crew members was hit by a missile in Iranian territorial waters near the Strait of Hormuz on July 24, according to the Indian embassy in Tehran and the Forward Seamen's Union of India. The vessel, Disha, was traveling toward the Persian Gulf when it came under attack. The embassy said all Indian crew members were safe and that it was in contact with authorities. The attacker was not identified. The incident adds to rising risks for commercial shipping after a fragile truce between Washington and Tehran collapsed in early July, triggering renewed strikes and further disruption along one of the world's most important energy transit routes.
