MIND ID Reuses More Than 1 Million Tons of Waste Material in 2025
The mining group's solid waste output fell 11.3 percent in 2025, driven by reuse, recycling and recovery efforts.
MIND ID reused more than 1 million tons of waste material in 2025 through reuse, recycling and recovery schemes. Based on the MIND ID 2025 Sustainability Report, the move also cut solid waste generation by 11.3 percent year on year, from 1.306.835,91 tons in 2024 to 1.159.049,16 tons in 2025. The material diverted from final disposal consisted of 82.876 tons of B3 solid waste and 946.733 tons of non-B3 solid waste. B3 solid waste fell from 270.478,08 tons to 208.441,10 tons, while non-B3 waste declined from 1.036.357,83 tons to 950.608,06 tons. Universitas Indonesia Energy expert Eko Adhi Setiawan said the result underscored the importance of structured waste management in mining operations, from the source of the waste to final proof of treatment.
