Boyolali son-in-law arrested after sending poisoned satay to in-laws
Police say the suspect used a fake ride-hailing account in his sister-in-law's name and faces the death penalty or 20 years in prison.
Boyolali Police arrested PW (40) after Aminah (57), a resident of Sindon village, Ngemplak district, Boyolali, died after allegedly eating chicken satay mixed with rat poison. Police said PW, the victim's son-in-law, sent the food on May 18 through a fake ride-hailing account using the name and photo of Luriyanti Putri, the victim's second child and the suspect's sister-in-law. The next day, Aminah was found dead in her home, with a stiff body, a blue face, and food vomit coming from her mouth. Police exhumed the body on May 30. Forensic tests found toxic substances in the victim's body, the leftover satay, and a dead chicken near the scene. According to AKP Indrawan Wira Saputra, the suspect admitted acting out of hurt feelings because he felt the victim did not value him.
