Mandalika adds 38 rooms and 4 courts for sport tourism
Sade Social Space also includes three padel courts and one basketball court, part of efforts to draw sports travelers.
Deputy Tourism Minister Ni Luh Puspa inaugurated Sade Social Space in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone in Lombok Tengah, West Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday (12/7), adding lodging and sports facilities to bolster sport tourism. Acting ITDC President Director Ahmad Fajar said the facility was built with 38 rooms, three padel courts and one basketball court. The concept combines accommodation, sports, wellness tourism and the creative economy. The government hopes the new development in Mandalika will help drive local economic activity, absorb local workers and open opportunities for MSMEs to move up a level. Ni Luh said the Mandalika area still needs sustained innovation and cooperation among the government, the public and business players to grow as a priority destination.
