Man United weigh Carrick exit after 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth

What's new: United are 16th with one league win and have gone eight games without a victory in all competitions.

Manchester United are weighing whether to fire head coach Michael Carrick after a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth deepened the club’s slump. The loss at Old Trafford left United without a win in eight matches, their worst run since 2015-16, and intensified pressure on Carrick before next weekend’s trip to Chelsea. The Guardian reported that club executives were in crisis talks and that Eddie Howe is the preferred replacement of football director Jason Wilcox if a change is made. United have won only once in the league this season and sit 16th. Carrick, whose side also lost 4-1 at Como in midweek, said he understood the pressure but was carrying on as normal.
