Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai set to open Aug. 26
The 12.2-km line links 11 stations, cuts travel time to about 28 minutes and is expected to carry 60,000-80,000 passengers a day.
The Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route is scheduled to begin operations on Aug. 26, 2026, after Jakpro and the Directorate General of Railways stepped up testing of infrastructure, rolling stock, signaling, telecommunications, electrification and systems integration. The 12.2-kilometer line serves 11 stations from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai. Several stations connect with Transjakarta, while Manggarai Station will serve as an integration hub with KRL Commuter Line, KA Bandara and Transjakarta. The project is said to have reached about 98 percent completion. Travel time between Kelapa Gading and Manggarai is targeted at about 28 minutes, with passenger demand projected to rise gradually to 60,000 to 80,000 a day.
