LPEM UI projects Indonesia's economy to grow 5.28% in Q3 2026
LPEM also estimates perceived household growth at 4.74%, underscoring a gap between official GDP and everyday conditions.
LPEM FEB UI projects Indonesia's economy to grow 5.28 percent year on year in the third quarter of 2026, with a range of 5.25-5.30 percent. Ahead of the official GDP release, the institute also introduced a measure of “perceived growth” for households, which it expects at just 4.74 percent, within a range of 4.72-4.76 percent. LPEM FEB UI economist Teuku Riefky said the gap reflects the distance between macroeconomic figures and household experience. LPEM noted that the average Consumer Confidence Index fell to 117.8 from 120.6 in the previous quarter, with the weakest showing among households spending Rp1 juta-Rp2 juta per month. Consumer credit growth also slowed to 5.22 percent from 5.92 percent, while state spending rose 21.18 percent to Rp1.004,5 trillion and investment realization reached Rp528,7 trillion.
