Liverpool host Arsenal with 13-match Anfield league streak on line
What’s next: Liverpool can move within three points of Arsenal, while Arsenal arrive after a cup exit and fresh injury concerns.
Liverpool and Arsenal meet at Anfield on Sunday with Arsenal trying to end a 13-match winless run there in the Premier League. The game also carries weight in the title race: Liverpool can cut Arsenal’s lead to three points with a fourth straight home win in all competitions. Mikel Arteta heads into the trip under pressure after Arsenal were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Fleetwood. Arsenal also have fitness and suspension issues, with Bukayo Saka out because of a thigh injury, concern over Noni Madueke’s ankle and teenager Max Dowman banned for three matches after a failed appeal over his red card.
