RI Independence Day holiday lifts eastbound Japek toll traffic 33.68%
85,790 vehicles crossed into Trans-Java on Aug. 14-15, while return traffic to Jakarta rose 17.07%.
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol recorded a surge in traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road during the long Independence Day holiday. On Aug. 14-15, 2026, 85,790 vehicles traveled eastbound toward Trans-Java through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, up 33.68% from the normal 64,175 vehicles. In the opposite direction, 65,674 vehicles entered Jakarta through the same gate, or 17.07% higher than the usual 56,098 vehicles. The increase was also seen in Central Java: 42,688 vehicles headed to Semarang through the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, up 17.74% from 36,255 under normal conditions, and 59,991 vehicles went to Solo via the Banyumanik Toll Gate, rising 12.85% from 53,162.
