Lens beat PSG 1-0 to claim the 2026 French Super Cup
PSG’s four-title run ended even as Lens played with 10 men from the 39th minute after Kyllian Antonio’s red card.
RC Lens won the 2026 French Super Cup after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 at Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens on Monday. Florian Thauvin scored the lone goal in the 32nd minute to secure Lens’ first trophy in the competition. The victory carried extra weight because Lens were reduced to 10 men from the 39th minute after Kyllian Antonio was sent off for a hard tackle on Maghnes Akliouche. PSG pressed throughout and briefly found the net through Fabián Ruiz in the 77th minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Chances from Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé also went begging. Near the end, Nuno Mendes was sent off as well, leaving both teams with 10 players. The result snapped PSG’s run of four straight titles and gave Dino Toppmoller a trophy in his first competitive match with Lens.
