Auction of 76,742 tons of seized coal adds Rp20,98 billion to ESDM revenue
The winner must remove coal from 11 stockpiles in Samarinda and Kukar by Sept. 10, 2026, under official supervision.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources added Rp20,98 billion to non-tax state revenue from the auction of coal seized in law enforcement actions in East Kalimantan. The auction, held by KPKNL Samarinda through lelang.go.id, named PT Wisesa Janitra Sejahtera as the winner on July 8, 2026. The item auctioned was one lot of about 76,742 metric tons of coal stored in 11 stockpiles in Samarinda and Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The winner has 60 calendar days, until Sept. 10, 2026, to unload, load and transport the commodity. Dirjen Gakkum ESDM Rilke Jeffri Huwae said supervision will continue until all the coal is removed from the storage sites, in coordination with KSOP and regional law enforcement officials.
