Leeds rally to beat Liverpool 4-2 in Chicago preseason match

Liverpool led 2-0 at halftime but conceded four after the break, suffering its first loss on the U.S. preseason tour.

Leeds United came from behind to beat Liverpool 4-2 in a preseason match at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sunday local time. Liverpool closed the first half with a 2-0 lead through Luke Chambers and Florian Wirtz, but its tempo dropped sharply after the break. Leeds seized the momentum with goals from Brenden Aaronson, two from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and one from Sean Longstaff. Match reports said major changes to the second-half lineup helped alter the course of the game, while Leeds repeatedly threatened from long throws and set pieces. The defeat was the first for Andoni Iraola's team during its preseason tour of the United States. Liverpool is still scheduled to play two more friendlies at Anfield, against AS Monaco on 9 August and Como on 17 August.
