Lapas Sukamiskin prepares 1,600 MBG portions for 10 Bandung sites

The nutrition service kitchen inside Lapas Kelas I Sukamiskin in Bandung prepared 1,600 portions for the Free Nutritious Meals program on Friday (16/10). The meals were delivered to five schools and five posyandu in surrounding areas, including Arcamanik. A total of 28 staff took part in the process, 26 of them inmates who had completed culinary skills training. Their involvement makes the MBG kitchen at Sukamiskin not only a nutrition service point but also part of job training during rehabilitation. Lapas Sukamiskin, long known as a prison for corruption convicts, has now also become a place to prepare nutritious meals for schoolchildren and nearby residents.
