KWP-BNI distributes thousands of school kits for orphans in 3 provinces
Ahead of the new school year, the aid was sent to Jakarta, West Java and Central Java for children in need.
Koordinatoriat Wartawan Parlemen (KWP) together with PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk distributed thousands of school supply kits for orphans and low-income residents in Jakarta, West Java and Central Java. The program, titled “KWP Berbagi, KWP Peduli Pendidikan,” was aimed at meeting school-related needs ahead of the start of the new academic year. KWP chairman Ariawan said journalists wanted not only to cover events, but also to contribute directly to the community, especially in education. House of Representatives Commission IV member Herman Khaeron said the activity was positive and reflected KWP's social concern, which has also regularly carried out aid efforts at other times, including ahead of Idul Fitri.
