Kumitra Yogyakarta logs Rp7,15 billion in SME partnership pledges

About 1,000 microbusiness owners met 10 major partners, modern retailers and digital platforms to widen market access.

Kumitra in Yogyakarta gathered partnership commitments for micro businesses worth Rp7,155 billion after bringing together MSME players with strategic partners, retail chains and digital platforms. The event opened at Teras Malioboro on Friday (17/7) night and involved about 1,000 microentrepreneurs assisted by Pusat Layanan Usaha Terpadu and local business owners. Acting Deputy for Micro Enterprises at the Ministry of UMKM Riza Damanik said the scheme is designed so micro businesses no longer have to find buyers on their own, but are matched directly with prospective partners and buyers. Deputy Minister of UMKM Helvi Yuni Moraza highlighted market access and supply chains as key problems, in addition to financing. At the forum, business owners also received support for digital payments through QRIS and e-commerce marketing training.
