KPK detained Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Rector Akhmad Sodiq together with two vice rectors in a sting operation over alleged payments tied to new student admissions. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo on Friday said the two vice rectors caught in the operation were Norman Arie Prayogo, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, and Kuat Puji Prayitno, Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance. The statement corrected earlier information that had named other officials. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto had earlier confirmed that a rector was taken in the sting. During the operation, KPK seized hundreds of millions of rupiah and intensively questioned nine people in Jakarta. The anti-graft agency has 1x24 jam to determine the legal status of those detained.
