The total detained now stands at 11, and the case has widened to alleged bribes tied to BPK findings on procurement, including Smart TV.
KPK arrested five civil servants at the Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan in an expanded probe into alleged procurement bribery in Pemerintah Kabupaten Muara Enim, Sumatera Selatan. The follow-up arrests on Wednesday (10/6) are tied to allegations that Muara Enim officials gave bribes to people at BPK over audit findings on procurement, including Smart TV. A day earlier, KPK named Muara Enim Regent Edison and three others as suspects: Head of the Education and Culture Office Abi Nurwardani, Adi Triyadi, and Cory Erin Hardi of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi. KPK said 11 people have now been detained in total. Investigators have also raised the case to the inquiry stage on what they said was sufficient preliminary evidence.
