KPK Seizes Rp4 Billion at Bengkulu PUPR Office Chief's Home
Investigators link the cash to a widening bribery probe in Rejang Lebong that has now reached Bengkulu city officials.
KPK seized more than Rp4 billion in cash from the home of Bengkulu City PUPR Office chief Noprisman during searches this week. Investigators also searched the office and home of a private party in Bengkulu involved in medical equipment and waste management, and took documents and electronic evidence. The findings stem from the bribery case involving a project in Rejang Lebong regency, which previously ensnared suspended Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari. KPK suspects the initial investigation uncovered other receipts from private parties outside the three companies that were previously named as suspects, and a similar pattern is believed to have occurred within the Bengkulu city administration. So far, KPK has not announced any new suspects.
