KPK seizes foreign cash and sports car from Silmy Karim house
Investigators also clarified that a viral photo of stacked foreign cash was not from the search of Silmy's house in the case.
KPK seized cash, foreign currency, jewelry, bicycles, a Vespa, big bikes and a sports car from Silmy Karim's house in an investigation into alleged corruption in the processing of residence permits for foreign nationals. The seized money consisted of Rp59 million, 12,200 US dollars, 1.250 euros and 80.000 yen. The search was carried out on 5 June 2026, after an OTT on 2-3 June. KPK also clarified that a photo of stacked foreign cash circulating on social media did not come from the search at Silmy's house. In the case, KPK has named eight suspects, including Silmy Karim, Saffar Muhammad Godam, Jaya Saputra, Ronald Arman Abdullah, Tessar Bayu Setyaji, Bagus Bramantyo, Juniadi Sri Priambudi and Gusti Benardiansyah. KPK suspects the 2022-2026 practice generated Rp145,5 billion in profit.
