KPK questions Klaten acting regent in Hamenang graft case
Investigators are reviewing seized documents and electronic evidence, while probing whether the alleged payment pattern began before Hamenang's term.
KPK questioned Klaten Acting Regent Mahanni Yulindha Pratiwi on November 5, 2026, as a witness in the alleged corruption case implicating suspended Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo. The examination focused on findings from searches, including at the Regent's Office, in the form of documents and electronic evidence that have been seized. Investigators also examined Mahanni's duties and authority when she served as deputy regent, in connection with alleged receipts said to have been made by Hamenang. KPK said the probe is now extending to the possibility that similar practices already took place during the tenure of the regent before Hamenang. The case began with a sting operation on October 15, 2026, which also ensnared Ahmad Luthfi H Rahmatullah and Muhammad Amin Wahyu Utomo. KPK said there are five clusters in the case, ranging from conditioning a BPK audit to procurement and licensing for C mining.
