KPK Questions Billy Haryanto in Rail Project Bribery Case
The questioning is tied to alleged tender manipulation for a rail line project in East Java, part of a case with 21 suspects.
KPK questioned businessman Billy Haryanto, also known as Billy Beras, as a witness in the alleged bribery case involving the construction and maintenance of railway lines at the Ministry of Transportation. The questioning was scheduled at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta, after Billy was last summoned on 28 April 2026. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said Billy was questioned in a case involving the Directorate General of Railways, particularly in East Java. The case stemmed from a sting operation at the Class I Railway Engineering Center for the Central Java region on 11 April 2023. As of 20 January 2026, KPK has named 21 suspects, including Sudewo, as well as two companies as corporate suspects.
