KPK summons forestry minister's special staffer in Kuansing bribery case

KPK summoned Andi Saiful Haq, a special staffer to Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, as a witness in the alleged bribery case involving the filling of regional government posts and gratuities in Kuantan Singingi, Riau, on Friday (21/8). The examination was scheduled at KPK's Red and White Building in Jakarta. By late afternoon, however, Andi had not arrived and investigators had not received confirmation of his attendance. In the case, KPK has named Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby, Regional Secretary Zulkarnain and PT Mitra Ideal Consultant President Director Ardiles as suspects. Investigators are also examining alleged payments linked to the release of forest areas. Earlier, KPK suspected that Raja Juli received an envelope containing money from Suhardiman, which was then reported and became part of the case under investigation.
