KPK turns over 3 former Customs officials to prosecutors, probes Rp21 M

KPK handed the case files for three former officials of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise to prosecutors after investigators declared the case complete. They are Rizal, Sisprian Subiaksono, and Orlando Hamonangan. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the second-stage transfer took place on June 4, moving the case into the prosecution phase and giving prosecutors a maximum of 14 working days to prepare the indictment before submitting it to the Corruption Court. At the same time, KPK is still examining testimony from Blueray Cargo chief John Field, who told the court that the code BC1 referred to an alleged Rp21 billion flow to Director General of Customs and Excise Djaka Budi. KPK said the trial facts would be analyzed for evidence and possible expansion of the case. In the main case, John Field was charged with bribing Customs and Excise officials with a total of Rp61 billion, as well as entertainment facilities and luxury goods.
