KPK probes Raffi Ahmad’s name in Customs bribery case
Investigators say Raffi was entrusted with shipping laptops and an iPhone 17 from the US, but he has not been summoned yet.
KPK has confirmed that Raffi Ahmad’s name appears in the investigation into alleged bribery and gratuities tied to imported goods at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Acting Director of Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein said Raffi was linked to facts about a visit to Blueray Cargo’s office in the United States to entrust or send several electronic items to Indonesia. KPK said those facts have not been developed further, so Raffi has not been summoned. Investigators said the inquiry could be expanded if trial evidence produces new facts. Raffi’s name surfaced in the trial of defendant John Field and Blueray Cargo at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court. Prosecutors referred to requests to ship a laptop and an iPhone 17 through communications with Yohanes, John Field’s personal assistant.
