KPK cannot bar Nusron from traveling abroad yet
Nusron has missed two questioning sessions in the Bogor HGB bribery case, and KPK is preparing a third summons.
KPK said it cannot seek a travel ban on Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency Nusron Wahid because he still has witness status in the alleged bribery case involving the handling of building-use rights at the BPN office in Bogor regency. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the Criminal Procedure Code allows such restrictions only for suspects. He said investigators will soon schedule another examination and ask Nusron to cooperate and attend. Nusron previously failed to respond to two summonses. On 7 October, he cited an internal agenda at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency, while on 15 October he again skipped the questioning because he was abroad. In the case, KPK has named eight suspects, including Lampri, Sontang Coin Manurung, Fahd El Fouz, Arif Sugiyanto, and PT Summarecon Agung Tbk President Director Adrianto Pitojo Adhi.
