KontraS urges police to trace 16 people in acid attack case
Witness questioning at Polda Metro Jaya followed a pretrial ruling ordering police to continue the general criminal complaint in the case.
KontraS coordinator Dimas Bagus Arya was questioned as a witness at Polda Metro Jaya on Wednesday (17/6) in the investigation into the acid attack on KontraS deputy coordinator Andrie Yunus. Dimas said the Tim Advokasi untuk Demokrasi found indications that more than four people were involved, including some already tried in military court. Based on CCTV analysis, reconstruction and open source intelligence, the team identified at least 16 people allegedly tied to the series of events before the attack on Jalan Talang, Salemba, Central Jakarta. KontraS also asked police to question former TNI intelligence chief Lt. Gen. Yudi Abrimantyo and follow up findings about a house in Kompleks Panglima Polim III that was referred to as an asset of Kementerian Pertahanan. Earlier, PN Jakarta Selatan, in a pretrial ruling, ordered police to continue the investigation of the type B report filed by KontraS.
