Kim Jong-un crosses to Dandong via new North Korea-China bridge
The visit came a day before China marked its troop role in the 1950-1953 Korean War.
Kim Jong-un crossed into Dandong, Liaoning Province, China, via the New Amnok River Bridge linking North Korea and China on Saturday (24/10/2026). A government source told Yonhap. According to a separate source from the ruling party, the North Korean leader was likely to return the same day after the bridge inauguration, as no schedule required him to stay longer in the border city. The visit came a day before North Korea and China commemorated the participation of Chinese troops in the 1950-1953 Korean War. The Amnok River is also known as the Yalu River in China.
