Kemensos suspends aid for 1.49 million KPM flagged for online gambling

The Ministry of Social Affairs has suspended aid distribution for 1.494.652 Keluarga Penerima Manfaat of the Program Sembako who were flagged for online gambling transactions. The data came from a matching exercise between Kemensos and the Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Keuangan. Of the total, 794.475 KPM are also listed as recipients of Program Keluarga Harapan. Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf said the suspension is temporary while further tracing and verification are carried out. The results of the review are expected to start emerging next week. Kemensos will check the data with PPATK and the Ministry of Communication and Digital to determine whether social aid was misused and to update the Data Tunggal Sosial Ekonomi Nasional so distribution can be more targeted.
